Michael Vick is not the biggest dog after all

Hm...what is this? People are turning on Michael Vick? Even Virginia Tech Fans?!? I am proudly one of those people, I will not deny it. When you get involved with dog fighting, you quickly lose my respect. That is a cruel hobby that ultimately hurts more than anything. These dogs were forced to fight or else they would lose their lives, most of the time by Vick himself. According to the news, he personally hanged and drowned the dogs if they lost a match. What's worse is that he also had a "rape station" where he forced the dogs to breed. Authorities also found about 16 dogs buried in his backyard.

As an animal lover, I really hate hearing about these kind of stories. These dogs did nothing wrong, they just happen to be born in a bad place. It's not their fault they are in so much pain. It's Vick's and everybody elses fault. They deserve much better.

These sports stars think they can do anything they want, just because they make so much money. Well news flash, you can't!

The Day in Sports

Well yesterday was both good and bad. First, the good...

Tom Glavine got his 298th carrer win yesterday, 2 shy of the glorious number 300. He is already going into the Hall Of Fame, but this is just icing on the cake. 300 is one of the biggest numbers in baseball. Every pitcher strives to be a 300 game winner...though only few succeed.

Glavine pitched into the 8th inning yesterday, despreate for that win. This was his third shot at 298, and he wasn't going to leave without it. And he got it...due to Lastings Milledge's clutch single in the 8th with Shawn Green at second...who scored. With Billy Wagner closing it out, Tommy G. got his 298th career victory. He will be the first Mets player to win 300 games in a Mets uniform. Tom Seaver, known as the best pitcher in Mets history, won 311 games...though winning 198 of them in a Mets uniform. He is currently the only player in the Hall of Fame with a Mets cap.

Generally, when you go into the hall...you wear a cap of the team where all your success came. So when Tom Glavine goes into the HOF, he will be wearing a Braves cap.

Though Mets fans can rejoice. When Mike Piazza goes into the Hall...there will then be two players in the Hall wearing a Mets cap.

And now for the bad news...

Dolphins WR Chris Chambers was arrested Saturday morning for driving while impaired and speeding. This is the second Dolphin arrested in just three weeks.

Angry Kitty

Okay...well yesterday, I was awoken by the obnoxious voices of my siblings, who for some reason, were yelling at 8:00 in the morning. I mean damn, what could be so big that we need to wake others up so early? Well apparently, my cat killed a bird. Well, I'm not sure if I can say killed...since when he got it...he brought it up to the front door, still alive. When my mom went outside, she saw it and knew what happened.

This isn't the first time he's done something like this. He seems to have some weird fettish with playing with birds before killing them.

So my mom goes to get a spatula and picks up the little guy. He couldn't of been more than a week old. He only had like one feather on him. Keep in mind, he was still alive, so she couldn't pick him up with her hands or else the mom won't come back for it.

So anyway, she puts the bird were she thinks nothing can get to it, were it's safe. Wrong...when she came out later, she saw all these ants on him. Now, once again she moved him, only this time near the back were she noticed lots of birds flying around. She said the bird was still alive though so she was hoping the mother would like get it back on the nest. She also mentioned how the birds back there doubled after she left the baby back there.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was now getting pissed. This was not the first thime this has happened. He has killed animals before. I realize he is a cat and it's in his blood, but since when do domesticated animals climb trees and steal baby birds? That's something wild animals do.

So after getting him in, we decide to keep him in for the rest of the day. We wanted to give that bird a chance.

So as the day progressed, Simba became more and more restless. He would not stop crying to be let out. Always standing at the door and hollaring and scratching the door. He eventually gave up on that and started to try some new tricks. He would come up to you, and when you tried to pick him up, he would run to the door...thinking he would be let out. Well no.

As the day grew longer and longer, his antics continued. He now started to sprint everywhere, sometimes running into things like ovens and refridgerators.

Finally he gave up, and started getting ugly. See, he has never really liked my little brother and sister...so when they went to pet him...he would make this noise...and then start to bite. After that, I picked him up and just kept him in my room with the door closed. If he was going to bite, then he would just have to stay somewhere where he can't get out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I feel I may go get my cat a collar with some bell attatched to it. If I let the cat out, I think I may want to have something that gives the birds a warning whenever he is coming.

How rad would it be if we got a tornado?

Seriously...we've had just about everything else hit this state, why not this one? Psh...I doubt it will be as bad as a hurricane...but a small level, like F-1 tornado, would be rad...

And as I type this...I just a heard a big ass thunder...so I shall get off...

Worst Pain a Child will ever go through

Yea, you guys have all gone through this pain I had to endure today. I know it. I just do. Today, while chillin with the family...I went into...get ready...Saxons. My mom wanted to try shoes and I was forced to wait back and just find something to do. First off...it's a Saxons. All there is in there is shoes, shoes, and even more shoes. I figured, okay, it should only take about ten minutes right? Wrong! When I saw that dude come out with 12 shoe boxes, I knew I was in trouble. I had to find something to do since I knew I would not be leaving for about an hour. I look to my right...a chair. I look to my left...a boring pamphlet showing how interesting apartments near the area were. I now knew, this would be one of the longest days of my life. After scoffing around, I looked over and saw my mom had even more shoes brought to her. The hell! How many shoes do you need...god damn.

I don't get woman and their shoes. What is the point of getting so many? Chances are you will forget you even have them about two weeks later. I looked in my parent's closet recently. There was at least 30 shoe boxes in there, all belonging to my mom. That wasn't it, oh no. She has even more in the attic. I swear...they are just shoes!

You know how many shoes I have? Five pairs! I have my K-Swiss, my New Balance tennis shoes, my new cross country shoes, my baseball cleats, and a pair of dress shoes. Five, that's it! I may have a pair of flip-flops somewhere but I hardly ever wear those...not a flip-flop kind of guy.

Okay, so anyway. After my mom was finally finished looking at shoes, we just had to worsen the day by getting me a pair of shoes. Apparently I had no dress shoes that fit me...partly true actually. I had been wearing my tennis shoes as of late. So after about 20 minutes of trying shoes on, we finally got me a pair.

After that, I thought it was over. But no, my pops had to get some flip-flops...ah! I'm about to die of some severe boredom, can't you see that?

Before my brother and sister had an oppertuninty to look at some Crocs, I quickly rushed them out of the store before anymore harm could be done. We spent a good hour and half in that god forsaken store.

And what's worse...they were playing no good music. =/

Da Hell?

The day, while getting my physical, I was told that I was 6'3 now. This was news too me, considering how I thought I would remain 6'2 for the rest of my life. Oh well...I ain't complaining...lol.

Wright, Reyes, Beltran, and Wagner

(John Maine) P
(Billy Wagner) P

(Carlos Beltran) CF

(Jose Reyes) SS

(David Wright)

Those will be the players that represent the Mets this All Star Weekend. This is Wright and Reyes' second straight trip to the game. This will be Beltran's fourth time to the game, third straight. This will be Wagner's fifth time to the game, first with the Mets. I am glad they all made it, but I'm really excited for Wright and Reyes. They are our future for the next decade and are two of the best young players in baseball right now. Wright, my favorite player, is a native from Virginia...so is Wagner...

Another native, John Maine, I feel was one of the players snubbed from the game. He defenitely earned a tickit...going 9-4 with a 2.74 ERA. He should be at that game, but instead will be watching it from his tv... :(
Good day overall though for Mets fans and Virginia natives. Another native, Justin Verlander...a cousin of mine...is going to the game...though will be facing the four Mets. July 10th will be a good day for baseball fans.

Are you kidding me?

I've been cooped up in this house waiting for the All Star Selection show for too long now. It was suppose to be on at 4:00, but due to rain delays, it has been pushed back until the Braves and Marlins finish their game. It's almost 6:00 now and I'm starting to get restless. I want to see it so badly. I need to know if my favorite players are going to the All Star game!

I've been passing the time by watching the Concert for Diana thing on VH1...eh, dem crazy brits...
